Wurstfest The Most Awaited Event!
Do you need a ride to Wurstfest? R&R Limo and Bus has you covered.
Why attend Wurstfest?
Most Texans, especially those from Austin, are pumped to attend any event with the word “fest” attached to the name. For those of you who are from outside the area and may need more convincing, Wurstfest is a 10-day festival celebrating all things German. Such as excellent German beer.
Do you still need convincing?
Besides drinking German beer, festival-goers will enjoy German music and dancing, exciting carnival rides and games, and all sorts of Alpine and Bavarian-style entertainment.
And although Wurstfest has evolved through the years, organizers haven’t forgotten that this festival, which was celebrated for the first time in 1961, was originally a celebration of all thing sausage. In fact, the city meat inspector, Ed Grist, organized the first celebration. To be fair, Grist probably liked German beer in addition to the wurst.
This year’s festival is scheduled for November 1 through November 10, and R&R Limo and Bus will be happy to drive you and your party to and from the festival grounds in New Braunfels, which is located about an hour south of Austin. The festival will run all day on weekends and during the evening hours Monday through Friday. For specific times and information about ticket prices, visit the festival website. You can also call the festival hotline at 800-221-4369.
Please note, you may want to bring cash to the festival as not all the vendors may accept credit or debit cards. Admission and drink ticket sales are cash only. Leave your bag chairs at home as well. They are not allowed on festival grounds.
The festival continues rain or shine, so dress and plan accordingly. Speaking of dress, break out your dirndls and lederhosen. You know you were looking for an excuse to wear them anyway.
Let R&R give you a ride to Wurstfest
We know Austinites love a good festival, and even though most of the time the events are celebrated in our own back yard, you’ll need to travel a little farther away to attend Wurstfest.
Our professional drivers will pick you up anywhere within Austin and maneuver through the messy Texas traffic to New Braunfels. You and the rest of your party will sit back and relax in our cushy, leather seats. You can even enjoy a few adult beverages along the way. Why not arrive at Wurstfest already in the mood to polka?
R&R Limo and Bus can accommodate any sized group. For a group fewer than 10, you may choose to be transported in one of our stretch limos. They have all the bells and whistles you would expect from a limo — a plush bar, fiber optic lighting, a moon roof, and a mirrored ceiling.
If you need to transport up to 13 Wurstfest attendees, you could also choose to be shuttled in a Mercedes Sprinter Van. Don’t let the word “van,” fool you. Our luxury vehicles feature plush, leather bucket seats, and lots of headroom and foot room. You’ll have plenty of room, so plan on bringing your accordion so you can join the festival band.
The festival website mentions that parking “is limited.” When you hire R&R to take you places, limited parking is no concern for you. That’s one of the perks of booking transportation with us.
Of course, both options come with a professional, courteous driver who has lots of experience on Texas highways. Don’t put your safety in the hands of someone who has been driving for three days. Plus, finding a ride-share service willing to travel an hour away late at night is chancy as well.
Speaking of safety, you may want to try a few of the German beers and wines at Wurstfest. You’ll feel more relaxed doing so if you know you already have a safe ride back to Austin at the end of the evening.
